Bombay Bicycle Club Concert XD

Ok.....Wow. The Bombay Bicycle Club concert was amaaaaziiiinggg!! XD Just being there and hearing their music live, right in front of our eyes and ears was sooo awesome! It's the second time i've seen them live but the first time I saw them was years ago in a little bar!
So! The evening started off with me meeting up with my friends. It was raining of course and so I had to come prepared with an anorak and some handbag which I'd have to hold during the concert :/ but it was better than having to hold two jackets. We took the bus, then the train to Wood Green and popped in to McDonalds to have a
quick nibble. Then, we got the bus to Alexandra Palace where we joined the biggest crowd of hipsters I had ever seen O: Seriously! It was the hot spot of hipsters!
We  went in and after looking around at a few t-shirt stalls, we went to the concert hall where we met a few friends of ours. After a few really good supporting acts (Rae Morris and Lianne La Havas) and standing about listening to some random songs on the surrounding stereo we noticed that underneath one of the fading jazzy beats came the beautiful calling voice of BBC's Jack Steadman. It got louder and louder and the lights went dimmer and dimmer and we all began to cheer and then next thing we knew, we were jumping up and down to How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep.
AAAAAAHHHH!! It was such a brilliant way to open the concert. A few times, me and my friends got split apart, in the really squashed crowd and my bag kept causing a cufuffle when I wanted to jump along to the beat but apart from that....AH!! SO GOOD!
The best song I think was The Giantess which they joined with Emergency Contraception Blues. Just that song, there and then, made me feel the happiest I've been in a while :) When it finished, the crowd walked out singing to Easy Like Sunday Morning which was being played on the stereo. We had to wait at the bus stop for ages cos of the amount of people trying to get on but got home safely with a McChicken Legend to satisfy my hungry self. What a night. Going to have to organise another concert to go to soon. It's like a party but you're meant to purely enjoy the music with all the other people who appreciate it as much as you do :D

Hiding from lecturers in classrooms o:

T-G-I-F!  T-G-I-F! T-G-I-F!
Oh my jesus this has been a very long week. So what has happened?
It basically rained a lot. Watched Glee and Adventure Time last night. Both were adorable but there was a mixture of excitement and envy at the possible love interest of Joe and Quinn. I'm just sayin'........that Samuel Larson is sooooooo hot. Just putting it out there. ANYWAY! Today seemed like the longest day ever.
First period was made compulsory for everyone to go to some Careers work talk/lecture thingee in the assembly hall. So, I decided that I'd go to my little history lesson where we were going to have a mock test thing, instead. I wasn't there long cos I had to go down the road to have a blood test at my doctor's. Came back, stayed in the common room for 5 minutes and had a conversation with a lovely friend of mine discussing how tumblr basically is a procrastination station. All things seemed normal till I got to my Citizenship class where two friends of mine came to tell me the story about how they escaped the careers lecture.
"We fled to the library to do revision but they found us and forced us to leave and go to the lecture so we left the library and decided to hide in one of the business studies classrooms. We sat there reading in the dark and heard the yells of teachers at students. 'So you thought you could hide in one of the classrooms did you?!' they said. It was terrifying." Sounded almost like Jews in hiding during the Holocaust if you ask me :/ ....except without the fear of death and such, y'know...
Not much else occurred after that except for the exciting part of meeting a friend at the gates of the school who I hadn't seen in long ting and going home to watch Community. OH MY GOD SOMEONE DIED! It was a good episode o: So yeah. Start of the weekend. Pizza for dinner and art work is going to be filling up my weekend.....apart from going to see Bombay Bicycle Club on saturday night! D'aaaaahh!! Super excited!! XD So expect a BBC song to be the song of the day tomorrow but in the mean time today's song is:

Art exam soon O.O

Wow. Moaning about the rain has seemed to have done something cos it's now super sunny :D WOOP WOOP! And also, I'm almost finished with this English coursework so that's another thing off my chest so that I can make room for Art exam prep. Awesome.
Hmm. I think that'll be today's subject of ramble. ART!
My AS Art exam is next week, Wednesday and I think I've finally got together every idea needed to get this painting complete and FABULOUS! *camp jazz hands*
My idea is basically based around illusions and I'm taking the animalistic instincts within human beings to a whole new level of creating this crocodile reptile lady. She's based on a character I made a while ago called Ivy who is an alien, or 'Henai' which my story calls them. The paintings going to be of my friend looking into this cracked mirror and seeing herself as this crocodile monster lady. It's not as meaningful as the last art piece I did but, to be honest, I really just wanted to paint this character to illustrate the meeting of reality and surrealism. Even though it's next week, I still feel that I have a hell of a lot more journal work and preparation to do. D'aaaaahhh! This is ganna be freaking stressful! So I'm ganna have to get down to business to defeat these huns!
Song of the day: .......hmm......I think this is suitable.

RAIN! EUGH!

Okay. Today's subject of chatter is rain. It has been classic British weather for like....2 weeks now! It's really horrible and I'm thinking 'Where the hell is the sunshine!'
It was baking hot about 3 weeks ago and no sunshine means more depressing and lazy attitude to my day. What's worse is the exams I have ahead. A bit of sun would be nice to lighten my day. The good side is that I feel more cosier than usual when I'm inside and I guess the plants are getting something nice to drink :/
EVEN STILL! I went in to school an hour earlier than usual cos Wednesday morning is choir morning (whenever I hear the word choir I automatically think gospels and hymns but nah. We're singing Make you feel my love and Hallelujah atm). So yeah, went in and it was cancelled. I was so tired that as soon as my History lesson finished, I decided to go home, make a sandwich and watch some you tube videos and a Woodstock documentary.  Blereerrgghhherghhh......When the sun comes out I'll be more happy and less moany (:, In the mean time, song of the day:

Real Women Are Curvy?

Betty and Shaniqua by the Sea by Summer Scott (me)
EUUUUGHHH!!
OK! So! It may have been published 3 years ago but I came across an article which brought up some subjects which I find the views and opinions around it very interesting to debate:
So basically it's saying 'Oh! They've gone and found the world's favourite curvy, black woman to put on their real women are curvy issue. How annoying! Omg! I hate Vogue! They're so racist and stereotypical!'
Well let me just say, in my opinion, the only person who seems to be coming over as racist and stereotypical is the mind set of the writer who wrote that article!  Jheeze! Vogue most probably wanted to put Beyonce on that cover cos 1. She's Beyonce! and 2. She's curvy! To think that they chose her cos she's black and 'of course! all black girls are curvy!' makes the person pointing the finger the one with the racist, stereotypical mindset!

The part of the Vogue cover which I disagree on and that the article has missed to address in the first place is the statement 'Real Women Are Curvy' Umm.....no. Just no. I have nothing against curvy OR skinny girls. What I have against body image is the way the media throws this shit in to our eyes what makes us REAL WOMEN!
A real woman looks a certain way because that's beautiful and a real woman is beautiful! So does that mean all other women who aren't this label of 'Real' are ugly? Well then that'd be missing out on a hell of a lot of lovely ladies because we are all different and cos there are so many different looks there can never be ONE image to focus on which defines a real woman. But if we were to ever look at what makes someone beautiful, in my opinion, it should be health. Showing anorexia/obesity/overweight/underweight as beautiful is like showing alcohol/smoking/over eating/drugs as healthy.
To me healthy is beautiful cos it's evident to see that they feel good and feeling good and being happy is beauty. Even then, some people can be slimmer or bigger than each other but that's ok cos we're all different. In a way, that makes us all the same.

Ramble over! Peace out! xxxxxxx

Eyop! :3

Why hello there wonderful world of the internets.
I'm trying something out where I'm going to start...blogging O:
Oh my! Tumblr is the closest thing I've gotten to with blogging but seeing as I love to spam the the news feed of my Facebook with never ending un-interesting statuses which only a number of my friends can really relate to, I thought I'd make my own page for that. Plus, the kids these days seem to be getting quite well known and popular in these little blogging places....thingees...

So time for some pictures, music and maybe a comic strip here and there, depending on the school work/revision load and the amount of bother I have. Woop woop!

Let's start off with a fancy pantsy tune I've had stuck in my head all day!
